What to Anticipate at Hooplandia 2026

Hooplandia begins Friday, June 19, with the highly anticipated Hooptacular extravaganza followed by nonstop tournament play on Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21. The event is produced by Eastern States Exposition (ESE). Admission is free for attendees all weekend long, and on-site parking is free on Friday and $10 per day on Saturday and Sunday. Hooplandia is undefeated against Mother Nature—the tournament and festival will take place rain or shine.

Hoops line the byways of ESE where most games will take place. Select youth championship games will be held at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon. Players, friends, families, basketball aficionados and the public are invited to attend the tourney to see great basketball, attend clinics, try fantastic food selections, enjoy live entertainment and meet special guests!

Friday Night Hoopactular, June 19

Hooptacular takes place near Gate 9A and on the lawn of the Mallary Complex. In the event of inclement weather, all activities and rivalry games will be moved to the Mallary Complex.

The Friday Night Hooptacular is a night is a free, community-wide event with skills competitions, community courts for the public, DJs and a more intense high school rivalry game schedule than ever before. Enjoy back-to-back gameplay by the region’s greatest pairings in a 3x3 single-elimination showdown reminiscent of a must-see Thanksgiving morning football game, including Western Mass. Championships rematches.

Tournament Play Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21

Tournament play will take place on outside and inside courts as assigned. In the event of inclement weather, all games will be moved in indoors.

More than a thousand players will compete in Hooplandia. The fast-paced, nonstop tournament play will commence by 9am each day. Gates and food and beverage concessions open at 8am. All teams will play a minimum of three games throughout the weekend.

All tourney long, jam out to hot hits by a stacked DJ lineup, including DJ Meechie of the UConn Huskies and DJ Nicki Nell of the Boston Celtics. Experience ARCY Live!, the dramatic and unique artistry of Connecticut-based muralist, ARCY, who is known for his paint-splattered, large-scale street art, all three days. Fan activities are in abundance, including a sneaker station with Sneaker Artist Vinnie Ducharme and talented bedazzling businesswoman, Designs by Amanda Kate.

On Saturday, former Celtics player and current team announcer Brian Scalabrine will be on the Showcase Court offering a clinic for youths 18 and younger from 12pm, followed by a meet and greet at 1pm.

On Sunday, Ta’Quan “Tootie” Zimmerman, formerly of the Utah Jazz’s G-league, and Julio Vazquez team up to present a clinic for Be a Baller, Not a Bully at 11am on the Showcase Court. At noon, Joe the Jet of the Harlem Wizards presents a dunk contest and clinic, also on the Showcase Court.

At 1pm on Sunday, Championship games begin, with the majority remaining at ESE and select games taking place at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. All entertainment will take place on the Outdoor Showcase Court.

Gates will close one hour after the last winners are declared.

Admission to Hooplandia is FREE all three days of the tourney. Parking is free on Friday only. Parking is $10 per vehicle on Saturday and Sunday for teams, families and the general public in Gate 9, located at 875 Memorial Avenue in West Springfield, Mass.
