In the heart of Greater Springfield, Mass., the birthplace of basketball, we proudly present Hooplandia, The Northeast's Ultimate 3x3 Basketball Tourney + Festival. Hooplandia will run June 2027, set against the backdrop of the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, where the love for the game is as big as the competition itself.

A Rich Legacy

Greater Springfield holds a special place in the history of basketball as the sport's very birthplace. Now, it's also the home and host site of an extraordinary event that pays homage to one of the greatest games on Earth: HOOPLANDIA. We celebrate the legacy of basketball in this region by throwing the largest 3x3 basketball competition and celebration on the East Coast.

More Than Just a Tournament

Hooplandia isn't just a tournament; it's a celebration of the spirit of basketball. With hundreds of games and thousands of players, there's a bracket for everyone–all ages and abilities, from young and budding talent to seasoned professionals. Our inclusive and diverse divisions include girls, boys, women, men, high school-aged adolescents, college-aged young adults, veterans and first responders, OGs and professional FIBA 3x3 players.

WHY 3X3 BASKETBALL?

3x3 basketball has always been an urban recreational street game and is now standardized, face-paced, highly entertaining and officially in the Olympics. FIBA 3x3 is the world’s #1 urban team game and one of the fastest growing sports globally.

ELITE PATHWAY

The pro 3x3 basketball circuit, known as the FIBA 3x3 World Tour, was formally launched in 2012. Today, with 3x3 exclusive events and elite pathways to pursue a professional FIBA 3x3 playing career, the world’s top players are 3x3-focused and compete at the highest level of basketball.

QUALITY PARTICIPATION

FIBA 3x3 basketball involves two less players and features more court space, increased scoring opportunities and participation for developing players to execute while growing their respective skillset and basketball IQ. All of these features are translatable to successful 5v5 gameplay.
