This June, the one and only Kevin “Showboat” Jackson of the Harlem Triksterz returns to Hooplandia, powered by Hoop It Up, to take the event to new heights—no, really, he’s six feet and six inches tall!

Showboat brings a lot to the table, and even more to the basketball court! He is known for his skillful trick shots, a stellar sense of humor and ball-balancing feats unlike anything you’ve seen before. He is an entertainer that delights audiences of all ages, and Hooplandia is thrilled to host him once again.

We last saw Showboat this past fall, at Hooplandia Day at The Big E. This occasion ties together two of Eastern States Exposition’s (ESE) largest productions and celebrates their intersecting themes of education, entertainment and community commitment.

The event boasted interactive and engaging entertainment, including visits from Showboat Jackson; President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, John Doleva; and the Celtics Dancers, who dazzled onlookers with a show-stopping performance. After their routine, the Celtic Dancers were sure to swing by the Midway and enjoy The Big E’s most adrenaline-inducing entertainment!

Additionally, a pop-up Hooplandia merchandise tent offered tee shirts, hats, the tourney’s signature splash balls by Spalding and more. In the evening, Hooplandia’s 2024 champions boarded trolleys and tossed Mardi Gras beads to fairgoers during The Big Parade.
