Hooplandia is just around the corner! The Northeast’s Ultimate 3x3 Basketball Tourney + Festival, hosted by Eastern States Exposition, is in search of scorekeepers and other volunteers for its diverse divisions. As a volunteer, you will be in the heart of the action and contribute to the seamless flow of the tournament to guarantee a positive experience for players.
Located in Greater Springfield, Mass., Hooplandia honors the birthplace of basketball by writing the sport’s modern history. The majority of gameplay will take place at the Eastern States Exposition complex in West Springfield, with select division final games held at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield. The names of the winning teams will be added to the Hooplandia display in the Hall of Fame, making each victor an honorary Hall of Famer.
With the return of the highly competitive Pro-Am division, powered by 3x360 Sports; visits from big names in basketball; and loads of entertainment interspersed between nonstop gameplay, Hooplandia is expected to attract thousands of fans this summer. Best of all, this is an all-inclusive tourney that welcomes players of all ages and playing abilities, and supports our philanthropic partner, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Mass.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older by June 15 and must attend orientation and training on June 18 or 19 prior to the tournament.
