Eastern States Exposition (ESE) is bringing back Northeast’s Ultimate 3x3 Basketball Tourney + Festival, Hooplandia, to The Big E. On Hooplandia Day at the Fair on Saturday, Oct. 3, the tournament’s sponsors and volunteers will celebrate Hooplandia’s success with a welcome brunch, public Pro-am games on the Showcase Court on State Street, peach basket basketball games on the Storrowton Green and more. The all-day affair kicks off at 8:30am and will conclude at 6pm when The Big Parade, a daily Mardi Gras celebration, welcomes the sponsors and volunteers.

Every Tuesday and Thursday of The Big E from 5-6pm, attendees have had the opportunity to partake in 3x3 basketball clinics by Coach Drew Dawson, general manager of Hooplandia. These pop-up events have been well attended and widely successful. Now? Entertainment turns up a notch with Hooplandia Day at The Big E on Oct. 3.

Beginning at 8:30am on the Showcase Court on State Street, behind the Avenue of States, Pro-am games, powered by 3x360 Sports, will play until 11:30am. Emceeing the event will be 3x3 National team, NCAA DI and prep school Coach Dawson. Viewing is open to the public and free with the price of Fair admission.

At 1:30pm, basketball influencer and kinetic talent Jumps by Chi hosts a jump contest at the Showcase Court. From 2-3pm, the Pro-am games resume on the Showcase Court. During Storrowton Village Museum’s daily Games on the Green programming, peach basket basketball will be played in homage to 19th-century sportsmanship.

At 5pm, Hooplandia skills challenges and Pro-am finals take place on the Showcase Court, with a fast-paced 3x3 semifinal and final match. At 6pm, a victory celebration comes in the form of a ride on the trolleys during The Big Parade, sponsored by MGM Springfield.

Between rich history in Massachusetts, Connecticut and beyond, basketball is a beloved sport and practice in New England. Don’t miss out when the action tips off on Saturday, Oct. 3! Purchase your tickets today at TheBigE.com.
